Last week we went up for a picnic trip to the Mesa to check out the beautiful fall colors. There is an official "Color Sunday" each year, this year it was on September 29th but we didn't make it up until Wednesday, no worries the colors were still there. Here's a link to our first color on the Mesa picnic back in 2011
Color 2011. We enjoyed our typical picnic food: salami, french bread, cheese, etc. The colors were amazing this year, and by comparing the two years, this one was way better! Our spot was a little farther down the same road we took before, but this time it was overlooking one of the Mesa Lakes. Alina was a bit concerned about the "cliff"we were on, but Nate didn't seem to mind at all. It did get really cold as the sun began to set, so we headed back to town for bedtime. Here's the beautiful views (by the way, I've pretty much decided fall is my favorite time here, so you should come visit us now!):
Aren't the aspens just amazing? So yellow against that perfect blue sky!
