Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

Well as most of you know we have done a lot of work on our new house since moving in this summer!  We completely renovated the kitchen and transformed the downstairs/basement to add a bedroom and make the other room an actual bedroom.  Here are some final pictures of our house.

This is our front porch, we didn't actually redo much, but got this awesome antique furniture from our friend Becca's parents and love how it looks!

This is the "parlor" or piano and sitting room that is actually part of the living room. We were excited to get the piano from Justin's parents and his great-grandmothers Singer sewing machine that is two years older than the house (1921).

In the living room I found some cheap antique furniture on craigslist that we've grown to really like.  The 1970s paneling, not so much.  But that's for a later phase:)

This is the dining room.  The table is new, but I love how it goes with the original built in china cabinet. That's may favorite thing in the whole house!

And here is the kitchen remodel! Other than the actual walls, windows and one built in cabinet (can't really see it in the picture but its painted white) we renovated everything.  I love how it all came together.  I'm in love with my sink and counter-tops the most:)

This is the breakfast/regular eating area.  Its so cool how the table and cabinet we've had for so many years goes beautifully with the new kitchen.

Nate's room did not exist before, but Justin built him a great little room.

And finally the girls room.  It's also small and cozy, but great for a bedroom.  The space was there before, but let's just say it did NOT look like this.  So thankful for my husband's handy work!

We also have a family/play room and bathroom downstairs that will get a makeover hopefully next summer.

Our bedroom, a study and a recently remodeled bathroom are on the main floor.
