An Adventure in House Hunting

For those of you who know how we got our house in South Carolina, you know that God directed that path entirely. We didn't have a job, the first offer fell through and then we made an offer and went back to Texas before knowing for sure if it was accepted. We got the house and then the weekend we closed on the house I got a job three miles away. Obviously, that was pre-determined:)

It appears that our adventure out to Colorado may follow a similar pattern. Justin and I spent last Sunday-Tuesday looking at houses in Grand Junction. We found one we really liked and put an offer on it. It was a short-sale, which means the owner was upside down on the loan. The day we put our offer on it and got on the road back to Texas, the bank went ahead and forclosed on the house. So now we have no contract on a house out there. The good news is, if the bank will go ahead and re-list it soon, it may be cheaper. The bad news is, there's no telling when they'll re-list. In the mean time we are watching all the houses that are coming up and Justin will be back out there August 8th, so we can start looking again if we need to.

We are still hoping to get this house. It's a cute 1955 house that already has some remodeling done and we are looking forward to doing more on it. Its a mile from Mesa State (Colorado Mesa as it will be called soon) and near the cute downtown area. Also, its on Texas Avenue, so I'm thinking its meant to be:) Keep praying, we know God has a place for us picked out already, we just have to trust Him and wait and see. We will keep you posted!
