X,Y, and Z...now I know my ABC's!

So, the activities for X, Y and Z were a bit scarce.  There's only so much you can do with xylophones, zebras and yarn:)  Here's some of the highlights of our last three weeks of preschool.

We made xylophones from craft sticks and water:

We wrapped a Y in Yarn:

And played zebra roll count:

Aaarrghh...mateys!

Last Monday was Nathanael's second birthday (I know, you had to wait more than a week for the blog post, I'm sorry, but I have my reasons, now I can blog about everything all at once).  He is such a happy little two-year old, and such a little monster sometimes.   Yesterday,  he had his two year check up and he is doing great.  He weighs 27 pounds and is 34.5 inches long, and he's even moving up a little in the percentiles!

On his actual birthday, Nate got to open lots of fun presents from family and we went out to eat at Genghis Grill.  He's our little superman, spiderman, baseball or soccer player:

On Saturday, we did a joint birthday party with our friend Brody, who turned 4 yesterday.  Becca and I had fun planning a birthday theme and we were able to celebrate with lots of friends from church! Here's some of the fun we had:

Brody and Alina, cute pirates and great friends!

Better watch out for this pirate!

Someone at Becca's school made this cake, amazing!!!

Pirates at play

The decorations all turned out so cute, I really love the pirate ship hot dogs.  Not too practical to have little kids running around with pointy bbq skewers, but hey they were cute!

Lots of friends to share the special day with!

Soccer Time

Last Wednesday we had a pretty nice evening, and Justin's game was early enough that we were able to go and watch his soccer game.  The kids loved it!  They yelled "Go daddy" the whole time, then Alina broke out into some cheer-leading.  Nathanael just thought it was so cool to see Daddy playing soccer.  Hoping for more warm days and early games to be able to go and watch Justin play.

You asked for more...Megan Cook Photography

During spring break our friend, Megan, took our family photos up on the Monument.  She does an amazing job and we really enjoyed playing while she worked:)

Check out her blog sometime: Megan Cook Photography

Here are more of the fabulous photographs she took:

Week of Goodies

So it seems that for "W" week we just really enjoyed a bunch of yummy treats!  We did do some crafts and read lots of W books from the library too:)

We enjoyed Whoppers, watermelon and "worms and dirt"

Above is how Bella eats worms and dirt and below is how Nathanael eats worms and dirt:)

We made this craft, but Nate and Brody really did not want to get their hands painted brown to make the hand prints. Apparently, Nate cannot possibly get dirty with washable paint on his hands, but chocolate pudding and Oreos are not a problem!
