Aunt Irina Comes to Colorado!

After our trip to Texas, my sister came up to Colorado with us for a few days.  We had a lot of fun showing her all of our favorite places and taking her to some new places. She stayed for few days and then we drove her to Denver so she could fly back home.  We are always so excited to have friends and family come to see us!

We had a nice picnic up on the Mesa, this is one of my favorite spots.

Then of course we had to climb around on the Monument.
Here's Irina doing some rock climbing at Devil's Kitchen.

A nice couple actually took a picture of all of us:)

We also took a day trip to Ouray and Silverton.  I really love these small mountain towns and Irina really liked them also.  Here's a picture at the deli we ate at in Ouray.

Despite her goofy face, I like this picture because of the sign:)

We hiked around Box Canyon Falls.  It was a beautiful water fall
that the pictures just won't do justice to.
Behind us is the rocks that the water fall came down between, it was really amazing, but hard to capture on camera.

Then we climbed up the High Bridge Trail that is up over the water fall.  Alina said she really didn't want to go on the bridge but would hike with us.  I am soooo proud of her!  She is such a great little hiker, just goes right over those rocks in her way.  Once we got to the top and she saw that there was a cave on the other end of the bridge she wanted to go and check it out and wasn't afraid of the bridge at all.  Such a big girl!

My other little trooper:)

We went across Red Mountain Pass and down into Silverton for dinner.  What an amazing drive!  I'm kind of proud of myself for doing it.  There are grown men who won't drive that pass:)

We thought Justin would like a picture of a snowboard bench:)

Back in Ouray for dessert and then headed back home for the night!
We stopped in Vail for a quick lunch on our way to Denver.  And I mean quick, we were almost late to the airport:(  But it was a fun trip filled with little trips and lots of activities.  Hope you come back Irina (and bring Lily next time!)
