Memorial Day

We had a fun day on the Mesa for Memorial Day.  Our friends Jon and Kris were going up for a hike and we decided to join them.  Its so much fun to see how much Nathanael and Alina love to be outside.  She loves to do everything on her own and he's along for the ride! It is so beautiful up there this time of year (really at all times, but you may be tired of me saying that:).  It was a bit cool but the sun warmed things up.  We still saw some snow!

On our way home, we decided we'd pack our camping stuff and head back up for the night.  All was going well...until bed time.  Even though we had all slept in a tent last fall and it went rather smoothly, that was not the case this time. Nathanael would not settle down.  After about 1.5 hours of trying various things we packed up and headed back home.  This did not defeat us, no fear!  We will try again.  We just need Nate to get used to sleeping somewhere else.  Oh well, it was a fun time anyway.

Kris and her babies:)

Jon was great with letting Alina sit on his shoulders or taking Nate in the baby bjorn.  Nate thought the big stick Jon found was soooo cool!  He did not let go of it until we were back at the truck.

This is a picture that might look familiar.  We took a similar one last Thanksgiving when my parents came to visit and we went up to the Mesa. Less clothes and no snow this time.

Fun times!
