Playmates

I recently posted how "bad" my dogs were. Just to update you, there was a cookies and hush puppies "incident" last week. No more leaving food out on the counters, ever, even in a container and no leaving the dogs in the house (except when its snowing which is when the cookie/hush puppy incident happened.) Despite ALL that...

My children love their dogs! We bought some new "toys" for Major and Macy and it took a few days for Nate to realize he MAY not chew on them and that they belong to the dogs. But now he likes to give the toy to Major and play a little tug of war. It amazes me what a gentle dog Major is. I've seen it before, but its always so nice. He weighs about 80 lbs but he tugs at a toy just gently enough for Nate to pull back. He could just snatch it out of his hands, but he doesn't. He also lets Nate literally climb over him and doesn't flinch. While he may eat an occasional cake, at least he makes a good playmate for the kids.

Alina and Macy also get along very well. Macy is a bit more skiddish, but she still lets Nate poke her eyes and Alina put dolls on her back to "ride" her. She lets Alina hug her all the time and if Major is playing with the kids she is quick to jump in on the action.

Here are the playmates having fun together:)
