Papa Randy and the Zoo

Today we went to the zoo with Papa Randy and with Nathanael for the first time! Alina loves to see the animals, but as soon as we get to one she asks to go see more. Nathanael took a nice long nap in the baby bjorn on his first trip to the zoo, but we all had a great time.

Alina does not actually like to feed the animals herself, but she does want someone to do it. So today Nathanael and I fed the giraffe and later the goats.

Can you believe Papa Randy is smiling this big in a picture? Its amazing what grandkids will do:)

One of Alina's favorite things to do at the zoo is ride the train. She loves to say "All aboard!" when it gets going and then she laughs with delight!

Papa Randy took her on the carousel. She was brave enough to even wave at me while she passed by. This made me a little nervous though:)

Once again, Alina doesn't actually want to do some of the 'hands-on' activities, but she loves to have someone do it with her. Here Papa Randy is showing her how to hold the bird.

The weather was perfect for a great day at the zoo. It was fun to get out and show Papa Randy our zoo and take Nathanael for his first trip there, even if he did sleep the whole time.
