My Soccer Playing Hubsband

So I post lots of pictures of Alina, but I realized that my wonderful husband, Justin, should also have some attention here. He plays soccer in an over-30 league (I know, its hard to believe that such a handsome, athletic guy is over 30...by 3 years) with some friends from church and others he's met through the league. I played with them until last year when I found out I was pregnant, and hope to return if I can ever run again:) Here's some pictures our friend Jessica took at their last game, her husband Matt also plays.
I've told him to play nice:)

Justin is not a slacker, he keeps playing hard to the end!

Baby Get Together

Saturday, Alina and I went to a baby get together with some teachers from school and ones I used to teach with. The kids played, we talked and enjoyed some good food. It was a great day at the park! Here is Alina being held by Martha (you can't see Martha). Michelle and Brody
Maria and Olivia
Blair and Maggie
Maria and Elizabeth
Tommy grilled for us and we all brought sides to enjoy.

We took a picture with all the kids. Alina and Gavin needed some help, since they can't sit on their own yet. Gavin is only 10 days old! He is so cute:)

Easter

So I have no idea why the pictures are small, but anyway.

We had a wonderful Easter this year. Some of our friends from church, work and soccer came over to eat a great meal with us. Trying to squeeze 11 people in our little dining room isn't easy, but it's fun. Can't have Easter without dyed eggs. We teach our friends a little egg knocking/smashing game that we used to do in Romania. I made a full Romanian meal for our friends to experience. We had an appetizer course, chicken soup, sarmale (cabbage rolls), a main course of roast, pork, potatoes, green beans and tomato/cucumber salad and then dessert (which our friends brought).
Josh's great dessert!

Alina enjoys her Easter lunch from Daddy.

We are thankful to have spent a great time of food and fellowship with our friends as we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord!

Random Cuteness:)

Spring Break Fun

We had a lot of fun during Spring Break! On Thursday, Alex came over to play and dye eggs with us. I know you're not supposed to put the Bumbo on elevated surfaces, but we were sitting with her:) She seemed to like the colorful eggs. Alex enjoyed helping out by giving Alina a bottle that day.

Later we met with some school friends for lunch at the Caddy Shack. We hung out in the sun, here is Cortney, Debb with Sarah Ann (Cortney's little girl), Claudia, her son Aaron, and Tennille. Lunch was great, the service, well that was different to say the least!

After lunch, we went to walk the dam. The girls had fun in their strollers, but Alina must have been exhausted from all the walking :) because she was fast asleep!

Easter Bunny

We went to the mall today to see the Easter bunny. Alina was very good, but just didn't want to smile. Seeing some of the kids and hearing one mom say "are you gonna chicken out this time?" made us realize this is a good time to get these type of pictures, before she wonders why is this huge bunny holding me?

Hair Cut

So I decided it was time to cut my hair. I was able to get 8 inches off and donate it to locks of love, which is neat, I didn't realize how long it had gotten! I feel refreshed and Alina looks shocked at how short mommy's hair is now, not so easy to pull anymore:)

What a weekend!

It was such a nice weekend, Alina and I went to support daddy at his soccer game. Although Alina missed it because she was napping we were there when daddy scored a goal!

Alina is starting to hold on to the rattle and even wants to chew on it a little. Everyone thought she was so adorable. Thanks grandma Jana for the hat to keep the sun off!

Aren't we cute as we get ready for church Sunday? Since her hair sticks straight up on top of her head, we love to put a bow in it. She is so adorable!

We had some company this weekend, our little friend Linus stayed with us as Matt and Jessica went to Myrtle Beach to visit family. Major and Macy love to have a friend over to play. I guess moving all the pillows on the bed must be exhausting, since they all crashed afterwards.

We tried out the Bumbo for the first time this weekend. Alina seemed to like it, but she leans to one side or the other still. I guess her nickname from Leslie, "lean bean" fits:)

Mrs. Pauline's House

Last week Alina began staying with Pauline while I am at work. Her daddy drops her off in the morning and I pick her up after school. During the day she plays with Josiah and Jesse. She goes with Pauline to drop off Jesse at pre-school. She is really enjoying her time there, but she is excited when I pick her up and take her home. Here are some pictures of playtime with Jesse and Josiah.
