Going to mini-flock

Friday night we took Alina to her first mini-flock, our small group Bible study. We meet at a friend's house, Ted and Sarah Brewer. She was asleep throughout her daddy's lesson but then woke up to eat. She "socialized" for a few minutes and then we realized we needed to head home. Alina did well and we look forward to taking her out more as she gets older.

First "Playdate"

Our friend Sarah Ann came over on Thursday. Sarah Ann is Cortney and Jeffery's daughter who was born in November. We've been looking forward to introducing the girls, and finally we had the opportunity. When one of the girls was sleeping the other was awake, when one ate the other was sleeping and so on. They did get to see one another and we look forward to more playdates.

Help from Grandmas

We were blessed to have both of our mom's help us out in our first two weeks at home. Tania (Raluca's mom) was with us the first week and Jana (Justin's mom) was here the second week. They helped us out with cooking, cleaning and holding Alina. It was so nice to have an extra set of hands around the house. Alina very much enjoyed being rocked to sleep by her grandmas:)

Alina is here!

Alina Grace Liles is here! She was born on Wednesday, January 7th at 9:40PM. Alina weighed 8lbs and 6oz and is 21 inches long. We are so excited to have our little girl here!

Alina is such a joy to our lives and a true blessing from God. She loves to be held by everyone, but especially likes it when daddy holds her before putting her down for a nap. With mom, its mostly about food. Her grandma Tania (Raluca's mom) loves playing with Alina as well. It has been very helpful to have her here and look forward to having Justin's mom, Jana, help us out next week.

Enjoy some of these pics, as you'll see Daddy has already turned her into a little Gamecock:)
